Newcastle Isand

We dinghied over to Newcastle Island for a hike around it's 10 k circumference. This island hosts a campground for those who want that experience so close to the city. It doesn't come easy as you have to take the water taxi to the island with all your gear and then carry it up to the sites.
The photos shows  one of the functions of the land over the years

August 8, tomorrow we go where the wind takes us.

  2. That tube saw would be great for ice fishing and Polar Bear swims. I wonder how many of those stones they shipped off the Island.

I was wondering about pushing with a pole too till I realized it is on a block and tackle. ;-)
